Built to last.

At the forefront of St Josephs College school expansion was the design and construction of the 8m high multi-purpose hall and basketball courts, providing facilities that are built to last.

Williams River Steel was contracted to supply and erect the structural steel work and precast concrete panels for the architecturally designed facility.

Featuring precast panel fins to the side of the building standing at 5 metres high and 3 metres with to assist in allowing the morning sun to enter building while blocking the strong afternoon light. The fins also acted as design feature to add interest to the large hall.

The precast cement pillar providing support and an eye-catching design to the hall was inlaid with rope to form textured panels. Specialised cement was added in multiple earthy tones creating an organic feature to offset the geometric design.

St Josephs College completed the internal fit-out and enjoy the versatility the large hall has provided for the school and community.
