With the Kooragang Island site being the obvious choice for Royal Wolf Containers' new home, not only with it's proximity to Newcastle Port and the new proposed container terminal, the site also has excellent semi-trailer access.
While the offices and maintenance workshop did not occupy a large portion of the site, there was substantial site preparation works and large areas of concrete and general hardstand areas required to accommodate the storage, servicing and movement of hundreds of containers.
Like most Williams River Steel Projects, concrete, plumbing, the office build and fit-out, workshops deisng and engineering, even down to the landscaping, electric gates and fencing were all in the scope of work.
