Williams River Steel were engaged to provide a purpose designed and built retail hardware store on a 1860m2 site at Huntlee that would replace the existing store at Branxton. Apart from the standard Development requirements we had the needs of the client and taking into account possible future expansion. After the prolonged Development approval process construction commenced mid 2024 and was completed early 2025. There was balance required throughout the design to also accommodate onsite stormwater detention without compromising the usable development space so a combined above/ below ground system was incorporated into the design. The final product included the main432m2 retail store including a storage mezzanine (100m2), drive through undercover pick-up area with an external garden centre, customer parking and truck delivery area. The store opened the beginning of June 2025 after the client completed their final fitout.
